Coaching a child is the opportunity of a lifetime because you can impact their life time.

Every year all coaches have to fill out required paperwork to be cleared to coach. The safety of all children is the top priority!
Below is the information required to start the process of becoming a bagged coach.

You do not have to be an experienced football coach to be a great youth football coach!!!!

Do you have the desire, drive and want to help make a positive impact in the youth of our community?
Then become a coach!

We can teach you all the X and O's of Football after you get here!

 
FYI Dead Line for turning in paperwork is July 15th, 2022 to ensure you will have a badge by Aug 1st for the first day of practice. 

1. Head Coach is responsible for ensuring that your coaches have all required documents for a badge.
2. We will only be accepting paperwork for you and your assistant coaches from you and only at which time that all paperwork is complete. 
3. All documents must use your fill legal name that is on your birth certificate. 
4. Links at the bottom to be printed and filled out legibly. 
5. I need you to send me your list of all people on your team that will be getting a badge (Including Team Mom's)

Below is a list of required paperwork for both new and returning coaches. 
The definition of new is if you did not have a pop warner badge last season (if you had a badge in 2019 you will be considered a new coach for this season). 

The definition of returning is if you had a pop warner badge last season in 2020 it does not have to be with the same organization as long as its a pop warner badge


New Coaches

1. Background Authorization for City of Jacksonville Background (Completed Only At Our Live Clinics) 
New Coaches your background is required to be completed by the City Of Jacksonville. After you have completed the clinic you will be given a Background Authorization Form to fill out and have a PHOTO taken (Please make sure you know what association you are coaching at, the age group and what your team name will be. You will need that information when having your photo taken)

2. Pop Warner Volunteer Application 

3. Pop Warner Coaches Clinic (Must be Live Clinic for New Coach) 
You must register and pay for this class by going to the Jacksonville Pop Warner Website and registering for the Coaches Clinic.Register for the Football Coaches Clinic.
If you do not make this class then you are not able to coach.


Tiny Mite Coaches are required to take another class after the basic football coach’s clinic.There is an extra cost for the Tiny Mite class. You must sign up for both via the website. The Tiny Mite class is on the same day and following the football basic class.

 

5. USA Football Heads up Training
This is an online class required by everyone, every year.
When completing this online course you will receive a certificate. That certificate is required with all the other forms. 

6. Copy of Driver’s License
All coaches are required to provide a copy of their driver’s license to their association.


Returning Coaches

1. Pop Warner Volunteer Application 

2. City of Jacksonville Continuous Service Form 

3. Pop Warner Coaches Clinic:
Returning coaches are required to renew this certification every three years. If you last went in 2019 or previous years then you need renew in 2021. 
You must register and pay for this class by going to the home page http://www.jaxpopwarner.com/ and registering for the coaches clinic

ONLY RETURNING COACHES - Can take and pay for the renewal certification online if you choose. The online cert will be in place of going to the class in person. To renew your Pop Warner Coaches Clinic online you will go to 
Southeastpopwarner.com Then click on the training link. 
Southeast Region Online Football Coaches Clinic
You or your association are responsible to pay the fee for this class. 

4. USA Football Heads up Training
This is an online class required by everyone, every year.
When completing this online course you will receive a certificate. That certificate is required to be turned in to your association background/volunteer coordinator.

5. Copy of Driver’s License
All coaches are required to provide a copy of their driver’s license to their association.
