Mandatory Participation Agreement Overview

The WJW Organization would not exist without a strong commitment from our participant families. As a parent or guardian, there are multiple opportunities to support our program throughout the year, including helping with the large amount of work required to host home games and helping to raise funds for the organization. Your efforts will ensure that your athlete has a positive experience this year and that the program exists for many years to come.

The program relies on at least 65 individual volunteers for each set of home games to prepare the field and staff the snack bar, ticket gate, booster booth, chain gang, etc. In addition, volunteers are needed on away game days to run the chain gang. Every family will be scheduled for at least 10 tasks. Families with more than one athlete in the program will be scheduled for a minimum of 20 tasks during the season. Every effort will be made to schedule your mandatory tasks immediately before or after your athlete’s game time. If you cannot participate on the scheduled date and time, it is YOUR responsibility to find a replacement to work your shift. You may trade dates/times with another parent on your team or send a family member (at least 16 years of age) to complete your volunteer hours on your behalf.

Volunteer deposits will be collected; completion of the full 10/20 participation is MANDATORY. A $100 post-dated check (11/1/2024) for all athletes must be turned in at the football equipment handout and cheer uniform handout and will be returned once tasks have been completed. If tasks are not met, the check will be deposited at the end of the season. A $50 fee will be charged for any checks returned due to insufficient funds. In addition, every athlete must participate in the mandatory fundraiser (to be determined).  You can pay $100 per athlete no later than the season’s first game to buy out of tasks.

As a condition of participation in the Woodland Jr. Wolves Youth Football and Cheer program, you are required to read, understand and abide by the following Participation Requirements:

·         I understand that I must complete a minimum of 10/20 tasks in support of my registered athlete and the Woodland Jr. Wolves program. If I have more than one athlete in the program, I understand I must complete at least 10/20 tasks during the 2024 Season.

·         I understand that to fulfill my participation task requirement, I will be scheduled to perform work associated with organization events, and home or away games, including field set up, boosters booth, front gate, chain gang, etc.

·         I agree that if I am unable to honor my participation commitment on the date and time I am scheduled, it is MY responsibility to find a replacement for my shift or send a family member (who is at least 16 years of age) to complete my scheduled hours on my behalf.

·         I understand that I am required to participate in the mandatory fundraiser, and I agree to fulfill this requirement in total for each of my registered participants.

·         I will try to support and assist with other non-mandatory fundraising activities and events during the 2024 Season.

·         I understand that if I have questions or concerns with this mandatory participation requirement, I will contact any WJW Board Member.

·         I further understand that failing to uphold my responsibility for program participation will result in my child being benched from participating in the next scheduled game or competition.
