The North Bay NFL Flag Alumni Scholarship Program
North Bay NFL Flag wants to honor its former players, mentor coaches, and mentor officials and support them in the higher education aspirations. North Bay NFL Flag has the intent of issuing two (2) or more $1,000.00 scholarships to students each year.
Candidates will reach out to us and submit an essay on "How participating in North Bay NFL Flag helped them in their college aspirations". Scholarships will be presented at Championship Weekend.

Scholarship Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicant must:
(1) Complete application, which can be found on this web site.
(2) Get recommendation and letter from head coach or athletic director.
(3) Submit a short essay (1-3 pages). Details listed below:
APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 1, 2023 - 8:00pm.
Late applications will not be accepted.
Criteria for Application:
1. The applicant must be a senior and have played at least one year of high school football at the varsity AND have played, coached, or officiated in North Bay NFL Flag at least one season.
2. The applicant must have demonstrated a superior degree of sportsmanship, fairness, enthusiasm, spirit, leadership and overall good moral character during his high school career, both on and off the football field.
3. The applicant must submit a typed and signed letter (with contact information) from his head coach or athletic director supporting the applicant in his efforts to advance into a College, Junior College or trade/vocational school.
4. The applicant is not required to continue efforts at a football program at the college level.
5. The applicant must graduate with a high school diploma.
6. The applicant must submit a application and a 1-3 page typed essay outlining his request for the scholarship.
The essay should indicate:
(a) What school(s) the applicant is interested in;
(b) What course of study the applicant is interested in and outline career/life goals.
(c) How the applicant applied / will apply the values of sportsmanship and leadership learned through the game of football.
Scholarship awards will be deposited in the student’s account at the school of their choice for Fall Term of the award year.
