We are a volunteer driven organization, and we wouldn’t be able to provide the safe and positive environment for our community without them. The Board, Managers, Coaches, Assistants, Field Crews, Scorekeepers, Pitch Counters, Announcers, Snack Shack and grillers; all are volunteers! We all were once “new to the league” and this primer is designed to help break the ice and get more hands-on deck! And the more involved you are in your child’s development, the greater the experience.
It can be overwhelming coming into a new league with your child, perhaps not knowing any other players or families. Our motto at LBLL is “One Team!” and we live by that. The Board does their best to announce dates in advance, so you know what to expect and when.
Long Beach Little League has a rich history of postseason involvement, from being the first back to back U.S winner of the Little League World Series, Division and TOC Championships, to deep runs in Sectionals and State tournaments. Every year, LBLL seems to come home with a haul of banners. We also host many of these tournaments, and we are very proud to present Stearns Champions Park as a premiere location to play baseball.
This comes at a price; we ask the families of all players who get to play in the postseason to again pitch in and help run the fields and tournaments via a Postseason Volunteer Fee. Each game, whether an LBLL team is playing, needs field set up, scorekeeper, pitch count, announcer, and Snack Shack volunteers.
