Coaches will refer to different types of practices and some require separate timing or equipment to be prepared, so it is best to define so we all have the same understanding.
Conditioning: Pre-season drills and training to get them in shape. No pad/helmets will be used. For those in their first season, they will be sore (new use of muscle groups, etc).
Practice: after required conditioning hours are earned, pads and helmets will be passed out. During primary season, most practices will be full gear.
Walkthrough: When games are on Sundays, the Saturday practice will most likely be a walkthrough where athletes run drills for the plays the next day, but not full impact/ helmet or should pad gear. Coach will adjust practice types as needed based on what will benefit the team best.
