Temple City American Little League

Welcome to the Website for Temple City American Little League!

Volunteer Help and Training Requirements:
Our league thrives with the help of many volunteers.  Volunteering helps to provide more focused training and practices with the kids, allows managers, coaches and team parents to get more accomplished, helps foster and develop friendship among players and fans, and helps create lifelong memories for everyone involved.  We encourage all to volunteer for as much or as little time you are able.  You will not regret the time you spend and our league and players will benefit from your help.

We value the safety of our players as a top priority.  In order to help keep our players protected there are requirements that need to be completed by all volunteers before they are allowed to interact with the players.  Some of these requirements are due to State laws, Little League charter requirements, or Temple City American Little League's requirements.  See below for what is needed from volunteers and links to get the requirements done.  All of the requirements are provided at no cost to the volunteer.  (The total process to complete everything should take between 2 and 3 hours total, but can be done in multiple sessions.)  Thank you in advance for your help!

Steps and requirements for league volunteers:

1.  Register as a volunteer on our league website.  You should have created an account when registering your child to play in our league.  Those volunteers without children in the league can create their own accounts.  TCALL Account Registration (This needs to be done each season.)

2.  Upon registering as a volunteer, you should receive an email with a link to complete a background checkTHE LINK FOR THE BACKGROUND CHECK HAS AN EXPIRATION, SO PLEASE COMPLETE IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN.  If you don't receive an email with the link, or the link that you received has expired, please contact our league's Safety Officer: Joshua Kelley at [email protected]. (This needs to be done each season.)

In addition to registering as a volunteer and completing the background check, there are other trainings that you will need to complete.  You will need to notify the Safety Officer upon completion of each training ([email protected]).  You will be able to download and/or print a certificate of completion for each training course.  The Safety Officer has access to a list of completion of the courses provided through the Little League Training website.  All other course certificates must be provided to the Safety Officer.  You can do this via email or by providing a printed copy of the certificate.

3.  Complete the Abuse Awareness Training Course provided by Little League.  This is required by Little League International.  You will need to create an account on their website to complete the various trainings.  Here is a link to this course:  Abuse Awareness Training(This course needs to be completed each season. )

4.  Complete the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training.  This is required by California State Law.  Here is a link to this course:  SCA Prevention Training.   You will need to create an account to complete this training. (This course needs to be completed once every two years.)

5.  Complete the Concussion Awareness Training.  This is required by California State Law.  Here is a link to this course:  Heads Up Youth Concussion Training.  You will need to create an account to complete this training. (This course needs to be completed each season.)

6.  Complete the Little League Safety Awareness Training Course.  This is a newly created training that can be completed through your Little League account.  Here is a link to this course:  Safety Awareness Training(This course currently needs to be completed only once.)

7.  Complete the Little League First Aid Awareness Training Course.  This is a newly created training course that can be completed through your Little League account.  Here is a link to this course:  First Aid Awareness Training(This course currently needs to be completed only once.)

8.  All Managers and Coaches need to complete the Little League Diamond Leader Training Course (We encourage all other volunteers to complete this training as well.).  This can be completed through your Little League account.  Here is a link to this course:  Diamond Leader Training(This course currently needs to be completed only once.)

This may seem like a long list, but the process goes by quickly.  The time taken is definitely worth the added safety and protection that is provides for the children of our league.

Thank you again for volunteering!!
