Little League® Coach Pitch Program
The Little League Coach Pitch Program is an official resource created by Little League International for volunteer managers and coaches in the Minor Baseball Division. It helps you plan practices and teach fundamentals throughout the season.
What it includes:
A 12-week practice program designed for Coach Pitch age groups
Detailed weekly practice plans

Practice & Game Tips for Coach Pitch
Here are common coaching practices that help keep games structured and supportive for young players:
Practice Planning
Focus on throwing, catching, fielding, hitting, and base running
Use a consistent batting approach to help kids make contact
Rotate players through different positions to develop skills
Keep drills short to maintain attention and fun
Coach Pitch Approach
Coaches may pitch from a comfortable and visible angle — often from one knee to help the batter see the ball clearly.
Keep the pace moving by having extra baseballs ready at the mound.
Focus on encouraging swings and good mechanics rather than strict counts.
