League Leadership Roles & Responsibilities

Streamwood Little League is operated by dedicated volunteers who work together to provide a safe, organized, and positive experience for our players and families. Below is an overview of the key leadership roles within our league and how they support league operations.


President

The President presides over league meetings and holds overall responsibility for the operation and administration of Streamwood Little League. This role serves as the primary liaison between the local league and Little League International and ensures all league personnel are informed of applicable rules, regulations, and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all league operations and activities

  • Serves as the primary contact with Little League International

  • Ensures league compliance with Little League rules and policies

  • Provides leadership and direction to the Board of Directors

  • Liaisons with Umpire In Chief to schedule umpires for league games


Vice President

The Vice President supports the President and assumes presidential duties when the President is unavailable. This role works closely with board members and committees to ensure league operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Presides in the absence of the President

  • Assists officers and committee members

  • Serves on all league committees in an advisory capacity

  • Carries out duties as assigned by the President


Secretary

The Secretary is responsible for league documentation, records, and communications related to meetings and official activities.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintains a register of members and board directors

    • Records and maintains meeting minutes

    • Issues meeting notices and official communications

    • Maintains records of league activities and membership

    • Maintains the league’s official website

    • Manages online registration and roster uploads

    • Posts league news and updates


Treasurer

The Treasurer manages the league’s finances and ensures transparency and accountability in all financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages league funds as approved by the Board of Directors

  • Maintains financial records and bookkeeping

  • Prepares budgets and financial reports

  • Signs checks with a required co-signature


Player Agent

Player Agents oversee player registration, evaluations, and team placement while ensuring eligibility and compliance with Little League regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Conducts annual tryouts and player evaluations

    • Oversees player selection and team assignments

    • Verifies player eligibility and birth records

    • Coordinates player movement between divisions

    • Serves as a member of the Board of Directors

    • Represents coaches and managers on the Board

    • Develops and manages coach training programs

    • Coordinates clinics and educational opportunities

    • Distributes coaching materials and updates from Little League International


Safety Officer

The Safety Officer ensures that player safety remains a top priority throughout all league activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates league-wide safety programs

  • Ensures safe playing conditions and equipment

  • Oversees injury reporting and prevention efforts

  • Collects and submits safety improvement suggestions

  • Communicates safety updates through the league President to Little League International


Sponsor, Fundraising & Marketing Manager

The Sponsor, Fundraising & Marketing Manager secures financial support and coordinates fundraising efforts to support league operations as well as promotes Streamwood Little League within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Solicits and manages league sponsorships

    • Coordinates approved fundraising activities

    • Maintains sponsorship and fundraising records

    • Supports community partnerships and league initiatives

    • Develops and maintains league marketing initiatives

    • Coordinates outreach with local media

    • Enhances league visibility within the community year-round


Concession Manager

The Concession Manager oversees all concession stand operations during league events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages concession facilities and inventory

  • Coordinates product purchasing and pricing

  • Schedules volunteers for concession operations

  • Maintains records of sales and purchases

  • Reviews concession-related discounts and offers
