We simply cannot say it any way else: Our program does not happen without the generosity, support, and love we get from our amazing sponsors annually.
Entering our 64th year of play on the west side of Kern County, one might say that the Westside Little League has shown staying power and value to the community. For the last six plus decades, the volunteers who operate our organization have proudly served the children of Taft and the surrounding communities through America’s Pastime - baseball. However, one other component has been critical throughout and, without this component, none of this would have been nor will again be possible: That component is our gracious sponsors and donors.
Without question, the League’s operations hinge on sponsor support from our gracious donors. We frankly cannot function without your help. Your sponsorship is the fuel we must have to serve our players year-in & year out.
In 2016, our program’s cost ran upward of $25,000. Included, among other expenses, was:
- $6,500 for Umpires
- $4,500 for Insurance and Charter Fees
- $10,000 for Uniforms
Our hope is that you and/or your organization can help us cover costs such as these again in 2017 so we can put on another stellar season of youth baseball and family fun in our community. No matter the size or scope of your contribution, know that it’s a worthwhile investment in the lives and memories of hundreds of local children, parents, and volunteers alike… and one that’s value is not lost on the Westside Little League’s governing administrators.

2017 SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
TEAM SPONSORSHIPS:
- Regular Season, All Divisions - Just $450 (Single Team Sponsorship)
Team sponsors are recognized each time the team takes the field - their name placed directly on the uniform of the player – and they receive a customized team photograph plaque to display proudly! Sponsors will also be represented by their team in uniform as they parade through Historic Downtown Taft during the 2017 Westside Little League Parade! All sponsors are also represented on the WSLL website and our Facebook page!
- Postseason, Your Pick the Division (8-10, 9-11, 10-12, Intermediates, etc.) - Just $500 (Single Team Sponsorship)
Postseason team sponsors are extremely exclusive (only 5 teams per year!) and are highly visible in Taft and surrounding communities (such as Wasco, Arvin, Delano, and Bakersfield) during the Little League International tournament – on the Road to the Little League World Series! Sponsors are recognized each time the team takes the field - their name placed directly on the uniform of the player – and they receive a customized team photograph plaque to display proudly! All sponsors are also represented on the WSLL website and our Facebook page!
WEEKLY GAME BALL SPONSORSHIP:
- Game Ball Sponsor for Each Week’s Slate of Games during the 2017 WSLL Season - Just $60 per week
This sponsorship covers the game balls used during each week of play in all Majors and Minors Division games throughout the season. Sponsors will be recognized as such during each night of the week throughout the season on the WSLL website, via the
League’s Facebook page, and over the public address at the beautiful Hall of Fame Baseball Complex!
MATERIALS / SERVICES / SUPPLIES / MISCELLANEOUS CASH SPONSORSHIPS:
If you’d like to make a miscellaneous cash donation, we’ll be sure to recognize you on our Facebook page and on our website! We can accept payment via PayPal, via credit card, or even the “old fashioned way” – paper checks!
We also know some sponsors can’t provide cash sponsorships, but happily provide us valuable resources that we can use to benefit our players or our organization (water, Gatorade, supplies, volunteer hours, etc.). We gladly accept these generous donations & sponsorships.
Lastly, we understand some organizations like to purchase / pay for the needs of the kids & the League directly. If your organization would like to sponsor us in this way, contact us and we’ll gladly help ensure you get us what we need!
So now the only question is this: Which type of sponsorship would you like to take advantage of? Contact any of our Board members – via e-mail, phone, or even contact us on Facebook – for further details! You may mail your generous contribution to our PO Box address, ask for a PayPal invoice and pay electronically, or we can even process a credit card transaction if that’s your pleasure! Whatever is most convenient for you is our goal!
ALL sponsorships and donations are tax deductible, as the WSLL is a not-for-profit organization! We can happily provide a receipt or Tax ID # if requested!
