In 2016, the WSLL put on our first MidSeason Classic in hopes of starting an annual tradition that would mimic Major League Baseball's "Mid-Summer Classic", aka the annual MLB All Star Game. The game was meant as a chance simply for our players to be able to play a game for fun, amongst their fellow division members, without affiliation to their respective teams, and with one of their 12 year old peers as the team manager.
Rules are simple: Everyone plays and everyone bats. No one pitches more than one half of an inning and no one plays more than two defensive half innings in total. The game must meet the criteria for a "regulation game" per Little League rules (3.5 or 4 full innings, depending on who's winning and by how much). And that's it!
In 2018, the game will again include two different games - one each for the Majors and Minors Divisions of play. We will be hosting our 2nd annual Home Run Derby to make it a true all star weekend for the WSLL! We're looking forward to seeing you the weekend of April 27th-28th, 2018 for the 3rd annual iteration of our middle-of-the-season celebration!
