2023 All Star Selection Process

How are players selected for a team?
Players are selected through several different mechanisms:
(1) Player vote - the Coaching staff for each team will conduct player voting after Rookies, Minors and Majors games/practices; the 3 players at each age level with the most votes will be selected for the team
(2) Managers/coaches vote - The Managers and one primary coach for each team will vote on remaining eligible players; 6 players will be selected for the team through this voting process
(3) All-Star Manager (remaining players) - The All-Star Manager will then select from the remaining eligible players to complete the team roster
4) All-Star Manager for 10s will hold skills assessment day for 8–9-year-olds in Rookies that have been nominated by their coaches

Over the past week coaches and players have been provided ballots at the Minors and Majors Divisions.
Players will be voting for their peers within their Little League age group. Their ballot will not include teammates but the players from other teams within their age group. They will be voting for THREE of their fellow players.

Coaches will give 1 ballot to each of their players that is 10 or 11yrs old or coaches will give 1 ballot to each of their players that is 12yrs old.
Each player chooses 3 player their same age that are not on their team that they believe represent RDLL well and should be considered for the All Star team.

COACHES
12 yr old process -- Choose 10 player from any team that you believe represent RDLL well and should be considered for the All Star team.
10-11 yr old process -- Choose 10 player from any team that you believe represent RDLL well and should be considered for the All Star team
1 ballot for the head coach and 1 ballot for the assistant coach for each group above.
