Rainier District Little League relies on volunteers to ensure a positive and memorable experience for all participating children. Volunteers coach teams, umpire games, and assist in a variety of other ways to keep our league running smoothly. Some of the ongoing volunteer opportunities require a fair time commitment; many are one-time or occasional duties and don’t require much time at all. Most of the positions require no prior baseball or softball experience — for those that do, RDLL provides training. Some of the volunteer help (providing team snacks for after games, for instance) are coordinated by coaches on a team-by-team basis.
Please consider signing up for one or more of the volunteer duties that help our league run smoothly:
- Assistant Coaching
- Scorekeeping
- Field prep
- Uniforms
- Opening Day Festivities
- Annual “Dewey Soriano Memorial Day Tournament”
- Annual Photo Day
- Annual “Mariners Days” event
- Snack Shack / food concessions
