Letter from RDLL President
My name is Craig Hanela. I am honored to be elected the new President of Rainier District Little League for the 2025 season! This will be my 7th year in the community. I have volunteered as a regular season and all-star coach and board member in the past. I have 1 kid that is active in the league who will be LL age 12 this year.
RDLL is a 100% volunteer driven organization, and we can always use help. I want to start off by thanking last year's volunteers; from our board members to coaches to umpires and team parents. It takes a strong community of volunteers to provide a safe and fun environment for the 600+ kids playing softball and baseball.
We always have opportunities available that can meet the needs of the time that you have to offer from coaching or umpiring to the Snack Shack to Event involvement. Many people mention that they want to help. The best way to let us know is thru registration as we have a way to easily capture the contact information, so we can contact you afterward to discuss some needs / opportunities. Managing >1000 emails contacts for the RDLL community takes effort. Please give us grace as we navigate the needs of RDLL with the volunteers personal/work lives. If you haven't heard back from myself or another board member within a week or so of registration please reach-out directly to myself, [email protected] as there most likely an error in the email address that we have.
We are taking on a different tactic for the board and volunteers to help make it more sustainable to run by expanding the board / executive roles and intro a committee structure to some positions.
Here are a few open positions available for the 2025 season.
New Position/Role for 2025:
VP of Operations - assist with the organization procedures and new projects to enhance the league.
Donations and Sponsorships:
RDLL is also a registered non-profit and qualifies for volunteer matching, if the company your work for has an available program. Additionally, RDLL qualifies as a tax-deductible donation, so please keep us in mind if you are thinking of making a tax-deductible donation as we get to the end of the year. We also offer sponsorship opportunities if you, or your company, are interested in sponsoring a team for the 2025 season. Please email [email protected] if you have any questions.
Let's Play Ball!
