American 8-9-10 Loses Two Nail-Biters at State Championship

Our American 8-9-10 team kicked off the State Championship with a victory over Ft Lauderdale LL on Friday evening after scoring the go-ahead run in the top of the 6th inning.

On Saturday, the kids were unfortunately unable to replicate their Friday success, coming up short in two extremely tight games against Lakewood Ranch LL (7-6) and Lake Mary LL (5-3), respectively. Lake Mary made the championship out of their pool and won the State Championship on Sunday.

While these results ended a great run, our league is extremely proud of how well they played and how they were in every game right up until the end. These kids represented Sarasota extremely well and will assuredly have more success down the road as they continue to participate in our league! Way to go kids!
