Little League Baseball® offers children the opportunity to experience and benefit from the life lessons, socialization, and camaraderie that are the cornerstones of the program. Little League Baseball is a community baseball program operated by local volunteers dedicated to providing children with a fun and engaging youth sports environment. The Little League Baseball program includes divisions for all children, ages 4–16. In addition to practicing on-field fundamentals and the excitement of playing games in a competitive environment, Little League Baseball enlists the sport to strengthen its participants’ self-esteem and confidence.

In Freeport, we have the following baseball divisions: Co-Ed Tee Ball, Machine Pitch, Minors Player Pitch & Intermediate Player Pitch.

Divisions are based on League Age of the child (see Age Chart). You can also use this calculator to determine the "league age" of any player: https://www.littleleague.org/play-little-league/determine-league-age/

• Players who are league age 4-6 are eligible to be selected to a Tee Ball team.
• Players who are league age 6-7 that have participated for one regular season in the Tee Ball Division are eligible to be selected to a Minor League Division (coach pitch)  team.
• Players who are league age 7-8 are eligible to be selected to a Minor League Division team (machine pitch) for the regular season.
• Players who are league age 9-11 are eligible to be selected to a Minor League Division team (machine pitch) for the regular season.
• Players who are league age 11-12 are eligible to be selected to a Little League (“Major”) Division team for the regular season.
• Players who are league age 13 are eligible to be selected to an Intermediate (50/70) Division team for the regular season.
• Players who are league age 13-14 are eligible to be selected to a Junior League Division team for the regular season.
• Players who are league age 13-16 are eligible to be selected to a Senior League Division team for the regular season.

Those who are not included among the league ages listed above are not eligible for any baseball division in Little League for the current season.
