At times you may hear a Board Member, Manager or Coach speak of "Baseball Age". This can be a confusing topic. A players "Baseball Age" is the age that is used to determine the Division / Level that your child can compete in. This is NOT always the same as their actual birth age as most Baseball Age brackets use a Fiscal Calendar of 9/1 through 8/31.
Your player’s league age is determined by the Little League Baseball® Age Charts. The dates for baseball determines the division in which your Little Leaguer will play this season. The Age Determination Date for a Little League Baseball player is the actual age of a child on August 31 of the current year.
The Age Determination Date for a Little League Softball player is the actual age of a child on December 31 of the previous year.
