Team placement differs between leagues and levels. In general ages shall me mixed on each team, based upon the age range of the level.

Arrangement of teams is also contingent upon a wide variety of factors to include registration volume, coach availability, drafts, evaluations, medical considerations, and others. 

Head coaches work together to establish equitable rosters based upon the aforementioned and league representatives help to ensure fairness and compatibility within the processes utilized. This is executed in accordance with Team Formation SOP (See Forms and Resources Section).

Predominantly, there's 2 activities per week. Preseason being two practices (contingency permitting), and during the season maybe two games, or one practice and one game. Some volunteers can do more than others. Everyone is unpaid. That's the way it goes. Sometimes you might get placed on a team that does more practices, sometimes you'll get placed on a team that has more specified training per position, sometimes your coach will be more apt to developing a statistical rotation matrix providing each kid the same playing time at each position... all of these vary based upon the volunteers, coaches, time, and additional volunteer/ coach support available. Little league is about playing baseball and having fun, and learning along the way. Do your best to help cultivate the most positive experience for your kids, and offer to assist your coaches in any way  possible. Each and every coach and team has a different dynamic. That's part of the life lessons involved with little league; learning how to adapt and overcome with courage and character through a variety of situations. We encourage positive dialogue between parents, coaches, and players to assist in creating the best dynamic possible.

Head Coaches will assist in identifying, evaluating, and selecting All-Star candidates based upon the guidance and method the league representatives establish. Selection criteria may include a try-out, evaluation, input from coaches, the player’s availability and commitment to attend x percentage of events, roster size rules and/or limitation parameters, and considerations to specialty positions. Final selection and confirmation of All Star rosters and All Star coaching assignments shall be at discretion of league representative final approval.
