Additional Information:

Temple City American Little League's 2024 Spring Season is for boys and girls ages 4 to 14 according to the Little League Age Chart, seen below. (The player's "league age" for the season is their actual age on August 31, 2024.)  This is a great opportunity to develop new skills, make new friends, and have lots of fun.

League Boundaries:  Players must reside within or attend school within our league boundaries. You can find our boundary map here.

Waiver Requests:  If your player is not within the league boundaries but you have a need for them to play in our league, please contact our league's President, Jared Barney or our league's Player Agent Matthew Boucher about possible waivers (see contact information below). Waivers must be approved from Little League Headquarters before a player can be placed on a team. Players who are do not reside within or attend a school within TCALL boundaries will not be entered into the draft without an approved waiver.

FINANCIAL HARDSHIP:

Financial difficulties are not a good reason to exclude your child from participating. There are many options available to help out with registration costs, including payment plans and other arrangements. Please contact our league President, Jared Barney ([email protected]), to discuss these options.

Registration:  Registration will end tentatively on January 13, 2024 (the day of player evaluations). Online registration will be disabled on January 12, 2024. Registration can be done online on in-person. However, online registration will still require parents to attend an in-person registration to turn in required documents.

Playing Requests:  Requests to play with other players or for a specific manager are usually accommodated in the Tee Ball and Machine Pitch divisions. All other divisions require players to go through a draft.

Practices and Games:  Teams are formed and practices will begin tentatively the 1st week of February. Practices take place at Live Oak Park. Please continue to check emails and social media for specific dates.

Fundraisers:  Players are required to participate in tentatively 2 fundraisers: Parents can opt to buyout of the fundraisers for $100.

Snack Bar Deposit:  A snack bar deposit of $120 is required for each player.  The deposit will be paid back after working 2 regular season snack bar shifts and 1 postseason snack bar shift (you will receive $40 back after each shift).  Those who do not wish to work in the snack bar can choose to forfeit their $120 deposit when registering and will not be scheduled.

Equipment:  TCALL provides players with a game jersey and hat. Players should have their own pants, socks, belt, cleats, glove, bat and helmet (your team's manager will let you know what color pants, socks and belt you will need for games). If you do not have some equipment items, you may be able to check them out from the league. Checking out equipment from the league for the season will be based on availability. Donations of used equipment are also made each preseason and those items will be available to players in need.

Player Evaluations:  Players in our hardball divisions (Cal State, PCL , Majors and Juniors) will be required to participate in player evaluations in order to be drafted to a team. Tee Ball and Machine Pitch players should attend evaluations to receive their box of fundraising candy and be sized for their jerseys. All required registration documents should be submitted by the day of evaluations.

Player evaluations are currently scheduled on 1/13/2024 at the Live Oak Park softball field. Please continue to check emails and social media for specific dates and times.

Parent Responsibilities:  During the season parents are expected to help out with team responsibilities before, during and after games. These responsibilities include field preparation/cleanup, scoreboard operation, game announcing, 50/50 sales, score keeping in our hardball divisions, and cleaning up the bleachers.

Questions:  Questions regarding registration can be directed to our Player Agent, Matthew Boucher,  or League President, Jared Barney.
