SJMSAA Fall Soccer 2024

SJMSAA Soccer is open to 6th, 7th and 8th-grade students zoned for their Middle School/Academy location in St. Johns County. Most school teams will operate both a boys and girls Varsity team as well as a boys and girls Varsity Development team, all depending on how many students are registered to be able to field multiple teams. Welcoming our new schools this year, Trout Creek and Lakeside Academy, which will include 5th graders for their team as they will only have a JV team this first year. The season begins with tryouts shortly after the beginning of the school year, followed by practices in Sept/October and games in October/Nov with end of season tournaments in December.

Below are the 2024-2025 Season Dates to consider when registering for try-outs. The dates are tentative until the St. Johns County Parks and Rec Department issues a permit for the use of the fields.

Registration Open: July 3rd 2024

Registration Close: August 28^th 2024

Season Start: Practices Begin in September/Games in October

Season End: December 2024

Cost: $400 ($35 pre-registration fee + $365 final registration fee)

10 October 2024 First League Game Begins - Girls (Girls Games will be on Monday/Thursday

11 October 2024 First League Game Begins - Boys (Boys Games will be on Tuesday/Friday)

22 November 2024 Last Week of League Games

02-13 December 2024 End of Season League Tournament Weeks (Monday – Friday Games)

All seasons require a non-refundable $35 pre-registration fee. You can select the Register button, choose your school or the school you would be zoned for, and begin creating a member profile.

Once tryouts have occurred, athletes who are selected for a team will receive an email notification that includes a link to pay the final registration fee ($365)

Tryouts are expected to begin in August/September, with practices in September/October and games from October to December. All team tryouts and coach details will be posted on our website at https://www.sjmsaa.org/soccer as well as game schedules. Practice schedules are communicated to players/families via their coaches.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Games will start by 4:15pm. If all teams & referees are ready at 4pm, game can start at 4pm. Games should conclude by 5:30pm. Please be mindful that we share these fields with many other sports and organizations.

Students cannot practice without a current physical. All physicals are good for one year from date received and must cover the entire season your sport is in session. Physicals are to be handed in to coach for the season. SJMSAA Does not keep any physicals on file after a season is over.

What should I wear to tryouts? Any previous SJMSAA or school affiliated attire is perfect. Please refrain from wearing any other club attire to your tryout.

What do I need to bring? All players are expected to bring shin guards, cleats, and water.

What's included in my registration? Along with the entire season of practice and games, you will also receive two game jerseys (home and away) and 1 practice jerseys.
