2026 Spring Baseball

LYSA Little League Baseball — Spring 2026 Season

LYSA Little League proudly serves players ages 4–12 across four divisions: Tee Ball, Coach Pitch, Player Pitch, and Majors.
We are officially sanctioned through Little League International and follow all Little League rules, safety standards, and age guidelines.
Our program focuses on skill development, teamwork, and community. Parents are encouraged to participate — your involvement makes the league thrive.





Divisions

Majors (Ages 9–12)

For experienced players ready for full Little League competition and tournament play.
Field Size: 60 ft bases, 46 ft pitching distance
Game Length: 6 innings or 2 hours
Gameplay: 3 outs per inning; leading and stealing permitted after the ball crosses home plate
Season: Includes playoffs
Parents are strongly encouraged to volunteer as coaches or assistants

Minor Player Pitch (Ages 8–11)

A key transition division introducing live pitching, catching, and defensive awareness.
Field Size: 60 ft bases, 42 ft pitching distance
Game Length: 6 innings or 2 hours
Gameplay: 3 outs per inning; no leading, stealing allowed after the ball crosses home plate
Season: Includes playoffs
Parent involvement is strongly encouraged

Minor Coach Pitch (Ages 5–8)

Designed to build confidence and prepare players for live pitching.
Field Size: 60 ft bases; coach pitches from 46 ft minimum for safety
Game Length: 6 innings or 1.5 hours
Gameplay: Continuous batting order; Outs can be recorded; catchers are used; no leading or stealing
If a batter strikes out vs. coach, place the ball on a tee for one final swing
Move catcher aside for safety
No playoffs; emphasis is on learning fundamentals and having fun
Parent participation is required at this level
No scorekeeping or standings
Focus is on fun, fundamentals, and family involvement

Tee Ball (Ages 4–7)

An exciting introduction to baseball for young players and families.
Every player bats once each inning
No outs are recorded; runners advance one base at a time
Coaches may agree to modify rules for learning purposes (e.g., outs, doubles if ball reaches outfield — maximum of 2 bases)
No scorekeeping or standings
Focus is on fun, fundamentals, and family involvement




Cancellation & Refund Policy

(All dates based on a projected season start of April 4, 2026)
Full Refunds:
Requests made on or before March 20, 2026 will be refunded, minus website, credit card, and non-recoverable expenses (uniforms, etc.).
After March 20, 2026:
No refunds or credits will be issued unless a state or local authority restricts the league from conducting practices or games.
If Season Is Canceled Before Start:
Families may choose a full refund or a credit toward the next season.
If Season Starts but Cannot Finish:
LYSA will issue a pro-rated refund (minus website, credit card, and non-recoverable costs).




Registration Deadlines & Late Fees

(All dates based on a projected season start of April 4, 2026)
Early Registration Deadline: December 31, 2025
(Avoids late fees)
Normal Registration: January 1 – February 28, 2026 (Avoids late fees)
Late/Final Registration: After February 28, 2026 - March 7, 2026 → +$50 fee (if space available)
