Message from the New League President

May 17th, 2023, will mark my first anniversary as the President of Phoenix PONY (Ahwatukee) Baseball. Time flies when you are having fun! 

The past year has been a whirlwind of learning experiences for me, and I am proud of the progress that we have made as a league. The first few months felt like I was drinking from a firehose. However, with the help of our dedicated coaches, parents, and players, we successfully completed the Fall 2022 baseball season. 

I learned a lot about myself while serving as the President. I realized I should not be a head coach while serving in this role, as being a head coach comes with much responsibility. Thankfully, I drafted players who had amazing parents who stepped up to be Assistant Coaches and Game Changer Admins. 

As we head into the Fall 2023 baseball season, we will continue to build on the successes from last season and implement the feedback we received. Our program is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for young athletes to learn and grow. We are eager to welcome back returning players and families while meeting new community members. Together, we can make this upcoming season even better than the last. 

At its core, PONY League is a community-based recreational baseball league that depends on the generosity and commitment of volunteers and donors. As we gear up for the Fall 2023 baseball season, I want to encourage anyone who is interested in making a positive impact in the lives of our young athletes to consider volunteering as a board member or coach. Whether you're a seasoned coach or simply have a passion for the game, we welcome your enthusiasm and dedication. Additionally, we are also seeking donors who can help support our league's mission and vision.
