We at Southington South are excited to have you join us at our annual celebration of our league. South Day is an event that allows us to recognize our players and sponsors throughout the league, along with some amazing food, games, and competitions. We'll be hosting a raffle that you can start purchasing tickets for now until Sunday. Check out the raffle prizes here! South Day Schedule - 10am - 2pm

We ask that families arrive around 9:45am so they can find parking and then locate their teams. We are going to have all T-Ball, Double-A and Triple-A players, coaches and sponsors come to the Field 1 Right field entrance. We will announce each team with their sponsor, and they will proceed onto the field via the warning track where they'll be greeted with high fives from our Majors players along the outfield wall. 10:00 - Introduction to the Event from Mike Nelson/Dan Ralabate

10:05 - National Anthem

10:10 - T-Ball teams announced with sponsors (6 teams)

10:15 - Double-A teams announced with sponsors (8)

10:25 - Triple-A teams announced with sponsors (7)

10:35 - Majors teams announced individually (3)

10:45 - Potential Guest Speaker

11:00 - Message from Dan Ralabate about each division's HR Derby/Skills Competition

South Day Homerun Derbies and T-Ball Skills Competition

Each division will have access to their respective field for a divisional homerun derby or skills competition. Prizes will be rewarded for top finishers. Please see field directions below:

Field 1 - Majors HR Derby - sponsored by L&S Auto - 5 outs per hitter; homerun is over an L&S 180ft wall; top 5 HR hitters advance to playoff

Field 2 - Triple-A HR Derby - sponsored by Gnarly Party Rentals - 5 outs per hitter; homerun is over the Gnarly 150ft wall; top 5 HR hitters advance to playoff

Field 4 - Double-A HR Derby - sponsored by Gnarly Party Rentals - 5 outs per hitter; homerun is out of the infield in the air; top 5 HR hitters advance to playoff

Field A - T-Ball Throw-Hit-Run Competition - sponsored by DBat Cheshire - Coach Matt Fontaine will organize the competition

South Day Food & Fun

Our concession stand will be open, serving our standard assortment of hot food made to order:

Hamburgers/Cheeseburgers

Hot Dogs

French Fries

Mozzarella Sticks

Pretzels

We'll have candy, ice cream, bottled water, Coke products, and Powerade being served as well. Lastly, we will have 2 cotton candy stations ($2 each) and 2 popcorn stations ($2 each) located around the fields.

With more volunteer support, we can serve these options without delay, but we need more volunteers to help us. Sign up for a short shift today so you can still spend some time with your family at the event. We will accept cash, card or Venmo at the Concession Stand, but cash or Venmo only at the cotton candy and popcorn stands.

We will also have a dunk tank available to soak your favorite coach or parent! $5 for 3 throws!

South Day Raffle & More

We will be hosting a South Day Raffle that will be live Wednesday, 5/30 until Saturday 6/10. All baskets in the raffle are valued at $200 or above! $5 per ticket and 5 tickets for $20. Get an early look and get a head start on your purchases of the raffle baskets here.

All proceeds benefit the Southington South Little League. Thank you for your support. There will also be an "all-player" drawing on certain prizes, where everyone taking part in South Day will have a chance to win.

All tickets purchased online will have the name written on the back and added to the drawing for the baskets selected at checkout.
Online purchasing closes on Saturday, June 10 at midnight. Tickets may also be purchased in-person at Rec Park at South Day. Drawing will be held Sunday, June 11. Winners will be announced via Facebook and email, and we will coordinate pickup of the prizes that week. You do not need to be present to win!
