Umpires

Host League provides umpires* – 2 or more (*during Pool Play)
Umpires do a safety inspection of the game field, check the catcher equipment (make sure the catcher’s helmet has a throat guard – required even on the hockey style helmets), check the helmets are in compliance, check the bats for cracks and are still round, and that they have USA BAT or meet the guidelines if they are wood bats. (BBCOR bats allowed in Intermediates or Juniors.)
During the pregame meeting, make sure that players are properly equipped to play Little League Baseball (no jewelry of any kind, are wearing an athletic supporter, catchers have a hard cup).
