IF THIS IS THE FIRST GAME FOR EITHER or BOTH TEAMS: PLEASE INTRODUCE THE PLAYERS, COACHES, LEAGUE PRESIDENT and DISTRICT ADMINISTRATOR DURING THE OPENING CEREMONY.  PINS ARE TO BE PRESENTED DURING INTRODUCTIONS.

NOTE: DISTRICT OPENING CEREMONIES WILL BE CONDUCTED FOR ALL TEAMS IN THE 9/10s; 11s; and LL Divisions at 9 am on OPENING DAY. LOCATIONS TO BE ANNOUNCED.

National Anthem, Little League Pledge

Make sure the National Anthem is played and the Little League Pledge is recited before the game. Before playing the National Anthem, ask the players (and spectators) to remove their hats. When reciting the Little League Pledge, ask the players to repeat after you. Allow players time to repeat the line before going on to the next line.

I love my country and will respect its laws
I will play fair and strive to win
But win or lose
I will always do my best

The following announcement should be made as the players take the field to start the game:

Baseball Fans: This is Little League Baseball. The players on the field are NOT adults.  They are not professionals and should not be treated as such. The adults on the field, including managers, coaches and umpires are ALL VOLUNTEERS. The players and adults need your support of the goals of Little League Baseball. We ask that everyone’s behavior be dignified and sportsmanlike at all times. Thank you.
