Boys Seniors Division
Overview
Boys Seniors Division is a very competitive division for High School level players. This division starts after the high school season ends, which is normally in mid-May. Travel to away games is required. Home games played at Gilroy Sports Park. Away games played at various cities within Santa Clara County. Games will be played against other Little Leagues in our District and surrounding Districts.
Ages
League Age 14 – 16. High School players are preferred
Team Formation
1 Team only with a max of 16 players and is normally formed by the Player Agent and Division Representative.
League Provides
Team jersey, hat, socks, and belt
Equipment Needed
Glove, baseball pants, cleats, and athletic supporter. Some parents may choose to purchase a bat and/or helmet for their child’s use.
Events per Week
5 – possible Double Headers on weekends
Games
Travel will be required for this division. Home games played at Gilroy Sports Complex, but away games will be played throughout Santa Clara County against teams from other Little Leagues. Normally 4 games per week. Possible double-headers on weekends
Time Limits
7 innings. No time Limits on games. No game can end in a tie.
Offense
Bat 9 or 10, Designated Hitter can be utilized in this Division only
Defense
9 players
Pitching
Pitching distance is 60’- 6”
League Age 14-16 limited to 95 pitches per day
Minimum Play Time
1 at bat and 6 consecutive defensive outs, starters may re-enter game once
Stealing
Bases are 90’ apart. Players may steal all bases. Leading is allowed
Runs
10 run rule applies after 5th inning

Pinch Runners
Special Pinch Runner rule utilized
Tournament Team
Chance to be chosen on the Tournament Team (All-Star Team). GLL can enter only one team to the Seniors Tournament.
