The Gilroy Little League Tee Ball division offers a fun, instructional league for players who are either new to the sport or still refining basic skills. Tee Ball is a non-competitive program focused on fun, fitness, and fundamentals where players aged 4-6 are first introduced to the basics of baseball and softball. GLL strives to provide a Tee Ball experience focused on teaching the fundamentals of the game in a fun environment while incorporating a high level of physical activity.

League Age for Tee Ball is determined by using the Baseball League Age Chart.

Coed Tee Ball is for League Age 4 & 5 YO with some League Age 6 YO.

 

•Gives all boys and girls ages 5-21 years regardless of disability an opportunity to play baseball & be a part of a team 

 

•Provides a structured athletic program 

 

•Incorporates “Buddies” from the Major Division and surrounding communities 

 

•Presents opportunities to experience the joys of pulling together as a team, being cheered, and earning awards for their achievements 

 

•Welcomes any special need 

 

•Enhances social development

Typical league age breakdown is below:

Instructional Softball - League Age 6 - 8

Minors Softball - League Age 9 & 10 (some 8 YO)

Majors Softball - League Age 11 & 12 (some 10 YO)

Juniors Softball - League Age 13 & 14

Seniors Softball - League Age 14-16 YO (Season starts in May and is typically only High School players)
