Dear North Valley Little League Parents and Players,
The Little League Baseball Season will be here before we know it! I wanted to extend a warm welcome on behalf of the entire Board of Directors to our returning baseball families, as well as to all new families to our League and our community.
During this exciting time, when children have so many different sports and activities to choose from, we are thrilled that your sons and daughters are considering, or have already chosen to play baseball in North Valley Little League. North Valley Little League has served north San Jose for decades, providing a positive environment for the development of sportsmanship, character, and athletic skill among our baseball youth. Our program puts an emphasis on fundamentals, participation, development, teamwork, safety, family involvement, and fun, all while developing an appreciation and love for the game of baseball. As a parent myself of avid baseball players, I appreciate the thrill and excitement of seeing your child play for the first time, as well as watching them grow and improve throughout the years. These are memories that we will all cherish, and I am pleased that you too will enjoy watching your children learn baseball and grow to be a part of our North Valley Little League family.
The Board is constantly working to improve our league, to make us the best we can be for the kids in our community. As a new president with fairly new board members, one of our goals is to ensure open communication. With this in mind, I am hopeful that this welcome letter will address any questions you may have about the league, financials, and volunteer commitments.
Our League is truly a place to make and share memories with kids, families and friends. I am constantly reminded by members of this great community of the numerous memories and friendships that have been created in and around North Valley Little League. After being a part of North Valley Little League for almost ten years, I am constantly surrounded by people telling stories about their time at NVLL. This is also evident by past players who have since become parents and grandparents to their own children, and have come back to volunteer or coach in NVLL, or those that no longer have players in NVLL, that still volunteer for this League. It is this commitment by the members of this community that have made NVLL one of the best places for our children to learn and play baseball.
We are looking forward to another fun and exciting baseball season- there is no better place for a family to watch a baseball game. Your children will always remember their time and experiences at NVLL. I look forward to seeing you all out there on the field, or in the bleachers, being a part of NORTH VALLEY LITTLE LEAGUE!!
Sincerely,
Lorna Garcia
