San Jose National Little League (SJNLL) is a non-profit organization as well as an all-volunteer run organization. We rely heavily on volunteers to ensure the program runs smoothly and without the necessary volunteers the league could not function and there would be no SJNLL. By volunteering, it fosters a sense of community and allows us to give our kids the best baseball experience. Volunteering is very significant to the operations of SJNLL, therefore we want to provide clarification to the leagues' requirements.
Volunteer Requirements:
Spring 2025 volunteer deposit of $200 is due at registration
Sign up and complete a total of (7) volunteer hours per player during the regular season AND
Sign up and complete a total of (2) Snack Shack shift hours per player
*** Your first two (2) Snack Shack shift hours are IN ADDITION to the (7) hour requirement. You may sign up for additional snack shack shifts to fulfill your seven (7) hour requirement.
Volunteer Requirement Exceptions:
* The following team roles are exempt from the volunteer hours with conditions:
Team Managers - all volunteer hours are satisfied including snack shack
Assistant Coaches - all volunteer hours are satisfied including snack shack
Team Parent (1 per team) - must fulfill 2 snack shack shift hours during season
* ONLY the volunteer hours of children ages 13 and older will be honored.
Option to Opt Out:
We do understand there are circumstances that may prevent you from being able to volunteer. Therefore, if you are not able to volunteer, you may select to opt out by paying the $200 fee at the time of registration.
Refund Volunteer Deposit:
Refunds are not automatically processed
Parents are responsible for submitting the request for the “Volunteer Deposit Refund”, which can be found here.
Refund requests will be reviewed and validated by a board member
All board members and team volunteers’ deposits will be refunded at the end of the current season.
