⚾️ Crown Colony: Where Your Registration Fee Goes

Crown Colony Baseball is proud to be an independent, privately-funded baseball league in the Salt Lake Valley. Unlike other leagues that use publicly-owned municipal fields, Crown Colony is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that owns and leases its own fields and facilities. This means we receive no state, city, or county funding and are solely responsible for all maintenance, utilities, and operations of our baseball community.

In the spirit of transparency, we are sharing exactly how your registration fee supports the "best little field in Utah" and provides a great experience for your player. The registration fees are designed to cover the full scope of our operations, maintenance, and player gear. Your registration fee is critical to maintaining this unique, community-focused ballpark.

1.  👕 Direct Player Experience (62.5%)

This majority of your registration fees come back to directly benefit your players’ experience through memorable events & apparel, game operations, and developmental opportunities for your player and team:

Uniforms, Hats, & Apparel: We provide a quality jersey, hat, and socks, plus an End of Year Shirt

Skill Development Partnership:
***NEW in 2026*** Without raising prices, we are adding to your players benefits & experience by partnering with DBats SLC Training Facilities to provide player credits for pitching machines, coach training and team time in the batting cages.

Game Administration: Covers umpire costs and league charter/insurance fees

End-of-Season Celebration: Funding for our Crown Classic End-of-Year Tournament, including a token of the year and awards for the top two division teams.

2.  🏡 Essential Operations & Utilities (25%)

This money ensures the league can function legally and that the facilities are available for use:

Utilities: Covers necessary costs for Water, Power, and Garbage service.

Facility Rentals:
Costs associated with leasing the St Vincent field and parking lot.

3.  🌱 Field Ownership & Maintenance Fund (12.5%)

The remainder of your registration fee is vital for preserving our facilities. This portion covers the unique cost of owning and leasing our property and ensuring the field is playable and safe year-round. This fund supports everything from irrigation and groundskeeping to machinery repair and future facility upgrades.

4.  👥 Volunteer Leadership & Support (0%)

The success of Crown Colony is made possible by the dedication of our all-volunteer staff. Every board member, league director, coach, and support volunteer generously donates their time, skills, and expertise to ensure a positive and enriching baseball experience for our community. Their commitment is invaluable and deeply appreciated. We ask all players and families to support these dedicated individuals by extending kindness, patience, and sincere gratitude throughout the season.

How Sponsorships Help

Registration fees cover our operational and maintenance necessities. Donations and Sponsorships are applied directly to larger capital improvements and facility upgrades that enhance the player and fan experience.

If you’re interested in supporting Crown Colony through Donations, Sponsorships or Volunteering, please email us at crowncolonybaseball.com. We look forward to partnering with you and appreciate your support in maintaining the best little field in Utah!
