Almaden 8s seeded 2nd after winning 2 games on July 22

On Saturday, July 22, the Almaden 8s mercy-ruled San Jose-American 16-3 and beat the Briarwood Banditos 13-8. Those 2 scores resulted in the 2nd seed (out of 14 teams) heading into Sunday's single-elimination Gold bracket (top 7 teams only). The Almaden 8s open Sunday at 9am on CPLL's Minors Field against the 7-seed Hooks of Lincoln Glen LL. A win over the Hooks would lead to a semifinal matchup against the host (3-seed) Cambrian Park Pumas or 6-seed Branham Hills at 11:40. The championship game is scheduled for 1pm.
