Almaden Baseball and Softball Little League

Registration for Spring 2025  is currently open!

Baseball is broken up into 3 seasons.

Spring Season
Our rec season is our most popular season and runs from March through late May (registration roughly Nov 10 to Jan 10).  We offer as many divisions as demand allows. Historically that means we offer t-ball, coach pitch, machine pitch (A), kid pitch (AA), AAA, Majors, Juniors, and Seniors divisions. These teams play against each other and possibly other teams from other leagues in the same division. At the end of the regular season, teams in AA and above play a tournament to determine an Almaden Little League champion. The AAA and Majors championship teams will play in a tournament against the champions (of the same division) from other nearby leagues (i.e., Tournament of Champions).

Summer Season
Our Summer season primarily consists of All-Star tournaments.

The all-star teams are 8s, 9s, 10s, 11s, 12s, and Juniors. The 8s All-Stars play in a few local invitational tournaments in late-June through July. The 9s to Juniors All-Stars play in the District 12 tournament in June.  If they win the D12 tournament, 10s and above can advance to the next rounds (Sectionals and NorCal State).

The 12s All-stars have the opportunity to play in the nationwide Little League Baseball tournament (after NorCal State comes Regionals). A Majors team that wins Regionals would make it to the Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, PA and be televised on ESPN. More info can be found on Little League Baseball's official website.

Fall Season
Our Fall rec season runs from Sept through mid-Nov (registration in July).

We offer as many of the Spring divisions as demand allows. During "Fall Ball" it's likely that Almaden L.L. teams will play teams from other leagues (e.g., Campbell L.L., San Jose-American L.L., Lincoln Glen L.L., etc.) - both at home in Almaden and away at their fields.  Games are typically on Sundays.

Fall Ball is a great opportunity for any kid to have more fun and get more practice.  It's also an opportunity to play in the divisions they will play in the coming spring.  If they are moving up a division, they will get used to the higher level in a low-stress environment.
