Updated Coaches Pitch Tournament Rules
The South Carolina District Administrator Association has updated the Tournament Rules for Coaches Pitch for the 2021 season. Most of the changes were done to match changes that Little League made to their rules. Here is a summary of the changes, but as always, be
:
you review all of the Coaches Pitch Rules:
1.
League Eligibility
: Changed the verbiage that the league must have chartered Coaches Pitch through Little League International and played either a Coaches Pitch or Machine Pitch season.
2.
Player Eligibility:
Changes the verbiage to be solely based on league age.
3.
Playing Rule 2.j.iv:
Changed the rule about when a ball is dead so that the defense must have control of the ball within the baselines
and
the player with the ball raises his/her hands and calls "time". This is so that they indicate that they are not going to be making any additional play on any offensive player.
4.
Mandatory Play 8.d:
Modified to match Little League in that "One at bat" is defined as: A player enters the batter's box with no count and completed that time at bat by being retired, retired as a batter-runner or runner, scores, or the inning or game ends.
