The Eastside Winter Academy will focus on individual skills development and small group play in a fun environment, with the goal of developing skilled, confident and creative players. Our winter academy is designed to provide additional development opportunities to challenge players to realize their full potential.
Eastside coaches will spend time developing a sound technical base and giving players a good understanding of the individual tactical components of the game. Topics include dribbling, passing, ball control, shielding, shooting, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 situations and small-sided games.
Our innovative winter academy is an age appropriate training program led by Eastside Timbers Director of Coaching, Gaff Leyland, Assistant Director of Coaching Carly Copplestone and other Eastside Timbers USSF licensed coaches.
Please make sure you bring the following items to EACH academy session:
- An inflated ball that has your child's name on it (Without a ball at each session your child may miss out of some of the learning opportunities)
- Shinguards
- Warm Clothing
- Water
Eastside Timbers Winter Academy Session Dates 2018-19 (6 total):
Mondays: November 26; December 3, 10, 17; January 7, 14
Cost: $100.00 (includes a FREE adidas soccer ball)
U8-U10: 5:30-7:00pm
U11-U14: 7:00-8:30pm
