Resources

Navigating the world of youth sports can be tricky as a parent. As a double goal league, NCLL wants to make that easier by supporting you to support your child. Here are some resources to help:

Positive Coaching Alliance (www.positivecoach.org)

Our partner has some great resources to help parents know how to work with coaches, what to say to your child have a tough game, and other tips for positive sports parenting.

I love to Watch You Play (www.ilovetowatchyouplay.com)

This is a new website dedicated to articles for sports parents. The site's title is based on the phrase that kids find incredibly supportive from their parents after a game - "I love to watch you play." To read an article on this click here.

Changing the Game Project (www.changingthegameproject.com)

This website describes the ways in which the uber-competitive world of youth sports can be detrimental to kids and advocates some ways that leagues, programs, coaches, and parents can help support developmentally appropriate youth sports.
