Haskell, Ringwood, and Wanaque Soccer Families,

           The board members of the Ringwood Rovers Soccer Club, the Wanaque Soccer Association, and the Recreation Commissions of Wanaque and Ringwood are excited to announce the creation of the Lakeland Junior Soccer Club!

            This joint merger of the Ringwood and Wanaque travel soccer programs will provide a wealth of new opportunities for the youth soccer players of our communities. Specific details are still being outlined as our timeline to launch this new venture is slated for the inaugural Fall 2023 soccer season. We would like to share several of the goals, objectives, and structures already established.

*     Goals & Objectives

*      Create continuity in Haskell/Wanaque/Ringwood/Lakeland HS sports programs.

*      Combine resources for Haskell/Wanaque/Ringwood players/families.

*      Develop a travel soccer club that feeds the Lakeland HS program, giving players the skills and experience
to succeed at higher levels of play.

*      Provide age-appropriate and scaffolded soccer instruction for all players.

*     Structure

*      Existing Ringwood and Wanaque travel teams will remain intact.

*      The boards of the Ringwood Rovers and Wanaque Soccer Association will serve in co-leadership positions
during the transition into the Lakeland Junior Soccer Club.

*      New teams and new players will be formed under the Lakeland Junior program and will incorporate players
from all respective communities.

More details will be shared as the Lakeland Junior leadership works to establish a successful transition. Several club-wide parent meetings will be held in early 2023 to provide updates and answer questions.

We look forward to this new opportunity to provide the youth soccer players of Haskell/Wanaque/Ringwood and our neighboring communities with a strong, committed, and successful program. We are also looking for parent volunteers to help fill new roles within the program. If you are interested in getting involved please reach out to any transition team member.
