Wanaque Field Cheer

The “New ERA” of field cheer has arrived. Field cheer is full of exciting, new things for girls of all ages. Wanaque field cheer is here to help bring the spirit to the next level each Saturday for the Wanaque Warriors.

Flag Cheer Kindergarten

This level is an introduction to field cheer for all kindergarten athletes exploring the world of cheer.  Girls will have a simpler routine to learn and perform and will be asked to attend fewer games.  Practices will begin in mid-August but will be shorter and less often than for older girls. 

Flag Cheerleaders will still complete sideline cheers and a small routine on the sidelines. This will help the girls with basic cheer skills and prepare them for future seasons


Clinic Cheer 1-2

Clinic girls will learn the early fundamentals of field cheer. They will learn simple basic sideline cheers, simple routine and show off their skills at each football game. Games days are every Saturday from September – November. Practice is expected to begin mid-August. Girls will practice 3 days a week, for 1 hour in the month of August, then twice a week from September through November.

Field Cheer

Pee-Wee 3rd-4th grades /   Juniors 5th-6th grades /   Seniors 7th-8th grades

This level of field cheer is broken into three levels as listed above. Each level will continue to grow on the fundamentals of field cheer and learn additional, age-appropriate cheer skills at each level. Each level will grow and continue to master their sideline cheers, learn routines to show off their skills as a team as well as individually. Games days will be every Saturday from September-November. Practices for all these levels are expected to begin mid-August.  Practices for the month of August will be Monday through Thursday, then in September will move to twice a week and will continue thru November.


You have been volunteered
Parents will be required to complete volunteer hours. A $75 up-front fee will be collected , and this fee will be returned at the end of the season provided volunteer hours have been completed.

Wanaque Field Cheerleading 2025

Wanaque Field Cheer is the Town Cheer program for all Wanaque and Haskell Children grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. The Cheerleaders will follow the Wanaque Warrior Football schedule. After the NEW ERA we hope to see even more cheerleaders JUST DO IT in the 2025 season!

The 2025 Season has us introducing a new level to help grow the love of Cheer, while still giving all the cheerleaders the opportunity to grow as the season progresses. Grade of Cheerleader will be that in September 2025


NEW Flag - New Kindergarten Cheerleaders
-This level will have smaller team size (25), be given a Skirt, bodysuit, bows, briefs and Polo top.
-Practices will be Wednesdays 6:00-7:00 every week from Aug 18 Till Early October (Pending Schedule)
-This is a shorter schedule for the girls to get use to the Cheer program and will follow the FLAG Football level.
-Parents are still responsible for Raincoat and all WHITE Sneakers. The Raincoat should be black or clear. The pullover the older girls are required to use does not come in XSmall sizes.
-We also ask parents to make sure the girls have black leggings for game day in case it is cold.
Clinic- 1st and 2nd Grade
-This level will start to grow the cheerleaders skills and grow their love for cheer.
-This level will follow the FLEX Football program.
-Practices in August will begin August 4th Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesday for the first two weeks 6:00-7:00. They will then be Tuesday and Thursdays 6:00-7:00pm.
-Cheerleaders will receive Shell top, Skirt, Body Suit, Briefs, Bow for the season.
-Parents are responsible for Black Pullover Raincoat (website will be shared), All White Sneakers, White Socks, Solid Black Leggings.
PeeWee- 3rd and 4th Grade
-This level will follow the PeeWee Football program.
-Practices in August will begin August 4th Monday, thru Thursday 6:00-8:00pm.
-We will have a MANDATORY Chorography week this season. This week the cheerleaders will learn their full routine so its important they are their to get the most out of our instructors. THIS SCHEDULE IS August 11, 12, 14, 15 5:30-8:00pm.
-September 2nd we will drop down to a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Practice Schedule 6:00-7:30pm
-Beginning at this level, Thursday practices come September are NON MISS PRACTICES. Cheerleaders who miss this practice will not me preforming in that weekends Hello Cheer or Halftime Routine.
-Cheerleaders will receive Shell top, Skirt, Body Suit, Briefs, Bow for the season.
-Parents are responsible for Black Pullover Raincoat (website will be shared), All White Sneakers, White Socks, Solid Black Leggings.
Junior- 5th and 6th Grade
-This level will follow the Junior Football program.
-Practices in August will begin August 4th Monday, thru Thursday 6:00-8:00pm.

CHEER CAMP 2025 - Sign ups will be separate from this, with more details. CAMP will be July 7-11 for PeeWee -Senior Levels and July 15-16 for Flag and Clinic. Again More details to follow via email.
