Event Registration

A number of residents have told us that registering themselves for events like the Murder Mystery Dinner or our Fitness classes is difficult, confusing, frustrating, etc. No one used any colorful adjectives, but I suspect they were probably thinking of them while they were registering. However, at the same time, parents who register their children for our various sports offerings, as well as the directors and coaches of those sports like all the functionality that the Sports Connect platform provides.

We have listened to both factions and have explored various alternatives. While we didn't find any one alternative that would satisfy everyone, we did find a simple and economical platform that we can use to supplement our Sports Connect platform - Ticketbud !

Going forward, beginning with Neil Diamond on Broadway and our Fall Fitness classes, we will utilize Ticketbud whenever the registrants for an event, activity, or sport are likely to be adults (Dinners, Fitness Classes, Pickleball, Snow Tubing, Tickets to the Theater or Professional Sports Games), and we will continue to use Sports Connect when it's likely the user is registering their child (Basketball, Camp, Cheer, Football, Rec Soccer, Wrestling). Since every rule has to have an exception, we have not yet decided which platform to use for our youth fishing program, Field Hockey, and our Arts and Crafts sessions. Regardless of which platform we use, we will clearly communicate where residents should go to register, and we will have links on each site to direct you to the other site if you made a mistake.
