REGISTRATION FEES
Fees cover expenses of skiing and vary by program level to cover training equipment, wax equipment, wax, race fees, trail fees, coaching, some lodging, some transportation.
- If there is financial hardship, please contact Board President Dan Eggen (eggen.daniel [at] gmail.com) for application information.
- Registration and fees are required before a skier can attend practice.
- If a skier withdraws from the program within the first two weeks, a full refund is available.
- NOTE: Other out of pocket expenses may occur.

2025-2026 OVERVIEW
DEVELOPMENT TEAM

Grades 3-4, Skiers learn how to ski through a fun and games.
·Fee: $100. Covers Coaching and Minocqua Winter Park (MWP) Trail Pass for practice nights only.
·Season: Monday December 1st through February 28th.
·Practices: Mondays & Thursdays 4:00-5:30p at Minocqua Winter Park (MWP). See more on PRACTICE HERE
·Races: Two optional fun race events at MWP. See schedule on RACES HERE (subject to change)
·Equipment Requirement: Classic waxless skis, classic boots, and classic poles. See details on EQUIPMENT HERE. Rentals available upon request.
·Skill Level: Beginner and experienced skiers welcome.
Grades 5-8, Skiers explore ski training and racing on classic and skate skis.
·Fee: $200. Covers Coaching, Race Fees, Wax Support, and MWP Season Trail Pass for 2025-2026.
·Season: December 1st through February 28th.
·Practices: Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays 4:00-5:30 at Minocqua Winter Park (MWP) or various locations, 4:00-5:30p. See more HERE.
·Races: Optional 6-13 races, Local to 3 hours away. See RACE SCHEDULE HERE (subject to change) or CALENDAR.
·Equipment Requirements: TWO sets of skis: Classic (wax) skis, classic boots, and classic poles AND Skate skis, skate boots, and skate poles. (Or, a combi boot used for both types of skies.) Details on EQUIPMENT HERE. Basic kick wax kit. Details on WAX HERE.
·Skill Level: Beginner and experienced skiers welcome.
HIGH SCHOOL RACE TEAM

Grades 9-12, High School coaches lead a girls and boys nordic race teams, a recognized sport by Lakeland Union High School. The LUHS skiers have opportunity to earn varsity letters and compete in the regional Wisconsin Nordic Ski League for individual and team championships.
·Fee: $250. Covers Coaching support, Training equipment, Wax Support, MWP Season Trail Pass for 2025-2026, and Transportation/Lodging.
·LUHS Requirement: Forms HERE . Turn in to LUHS Athletics Dept before first day of practice. (Not necessary for athletes in a Fall 2025 Sport.)
·Season: November 3rd through February 28th.
·Practices: Weekdays afterschool. Location varies. Transportation is provided to practice location. More on PRACTICES HERE.
·Races: 13 races, 2 overnight weekends. Transportation is provided to races. See RACE SCHEDULE HERE (subject to change) or CALENDAR.
