Safety Training

SafeSport Training, safesporttrained.org. Our coaches and volunteers are trained in SafeSport, a training to create a safe and positive sport environment for youth.

Certificate of Completion - submit to Coach
Reimbursement Form - submit to Treasurer within two weeks of expenditure
COURSES (2022 Pricing):
- Parent Volunteers participate in: PARENT’S GUIDE TO MISCONDUCT IN SPORTS, 30 MINUTES, FREE
- Student Athletes (age 13-17) participate in: SAFESPORT™ FOR YOUTH ATHLETES (AGE 13+) 15 MINUTES, FREE
- Adult Athletes (age 18+) participate in: ABUSE PREVENTION FOR ADULT ATHLETES 15 MINUTES, $9.99
- Other Volunteers participate in: SAFESPORT FOR VOLUNTEERS: ABUSE AWARENESS AND PREVENTION ESSENTIALS: 30 MINUTES $9.99
- Coaches and Key Helpers participate in: (one course per year over 4 years and then repeat refreshers)
  - SAFESPORT CORE COURSE, 90 MINUTES $20
  - REFRESHER 1 RECOGNIZING AND REPORTING MISCONDUCT - NGB1, 30 min. $9.99
  - REFRESHER 2 PREVENTING MISCONDUCT - NGB1, 30 min. FREE
  - REFRESHER 3 CREATING A POSITIVE SPORT ENVIRONMENT, 30 min. $12.99

Coaches Certification. Our Head Coaches are certified cross country coaches (L100 and/or L200) through US Ski & Snowboard and the Central Cross Country Division. This includes coaching roles, teaching, athletic development, training, competition, equipment, technique as well as SAFESPORT CORE COURSE and Annual refreshers in SafeSport.
