Spring programs run from late April – early June. Spring program age groupings are based on grade level.
Grades Pre-K/K: K-Ball
Program Description: K-Ball is our introductory softball program. Players learn the fundamentals of softball and begin to experience the value of teamwork and good sportsmanship. We play on the Upper Field at Warren School by the Annex and use a 10” soft safety softball during play. Players hit off a tee until the coaches determine that they can hit “coach pitch”.
Sessions: 1 game each week, on Saturday afternoons with 1 weekday practice. The weekday is determined by the coaches and field availability, and we offer at least 2 teams.
Equipment Needed: A glove, bat, and helmet are needed. Balls will be provided. If the child doesn't have a helmet or bat, please reach out to

Grade Level 1st: AA Softball
Program Description: AA Softball is a “coach pitch” non‐competitive division (no scores kept) where players continue to learn the fundamentals of the game. More emphasis is placed on developing skills and learning the game. A 10” soft safety softball is used, and games are played on a standard softball diamond infield on the Upper Field of Warren School by the Annex.
Sessions: 1 game each week, on Saturday afternoons with 1 weekday practice. The weekday is determined by the coaches and field availability, and we offer at least 2 teams.
Equipment Needed: A glove, bat, and helmet are needed, and a fielding mask is recommended. Balls will be provided. If the child doesn't have a helmet or bat, please reach out to [email protected] and they will try and see if there is equipment to borrow.
U8 Age Level: Minors Softball
Program Description: Minors Softball teams play in the recreational Metrowest Girls Softball League vs other towns in the Metrowest Surrounding Areas.. Emphasis is on fundamentals, hitting and increasing situational awareness. Coaches pitch and use 11” soft safety softball. Teams will play 3 outs per inning or 4 runs, and kids play all positions in the infield and outfield as well as Catcher with the catching gear on.
Sessions: Games are Mon and Wednesday. 6 home and 6 away. 5:30 arrival for 6 pm game start. Practices are on Saturday afternoons with all teams at this level sharing the Big Field Area at Warren School Fields.
Equipment Needed: A glove, bat, and helmet (with facemask) are needed. Fielding masks are required for all players. Also Softball Pants are highly recommended.
U10 Age Level: Majors Softball
Program Description: Majors Softball teams play in the recreational Metrowest Girls Softball League vs other towns in the Metrowest Surrounding Areas.. Emphasis is on fundamentals, hitting and increasing situational awareness. Kids Pitch, Play Catcher and play in the field. Teams will play 3 outs per inning or 4 runs, whichever occurs first. There is stealing and a lot more focus on positions and how to play each position.
Sessions: Games are Tue and Thur. 6 home and 6 away. 5:30 arrival for 6 pm game start. Practices are on Saturday or Sunday afternoons with all teams at this level sharing and working together. Fields could be Warren or Stone Park for practice or games
Equipment Needed: A glove, bat, and helmet (with facemask) are needed. Fielding masks are required for all players. Also Softball Pants are required.
U12 or U12/U14 Age Level: Seniors Softball
Program Description: Seniors Softball Teams will play in either the Metrowest Girls Softball League or the Framingham Girls Softball League. This could be either a U12 only or Combo of U12/14 depending on registration age levels. Players are mostly 6th grade but are open to any 7th or 8th grader at the age level who wants to play.
This league is full player pitch using a 12” hard softball. At this level, most of the players have developed an understanding of the game and have several seasons of experience. Emphasis is on skill development/improvement, situational awareness, communication, and understanding the game.
Sessions: Games could be on a Tues night, Friday Night or Sunday afternoon or night. All will depend on # of teams across the League
Practice 1x during the week possibly or Sat Late Afternoon. Or a Sunday if no Game on Sunday.
Equipment Needed: A glove, bat, and helmet (with facemask) are needed. Fielding masks are required for all players. Softball Pants Required for all players.
