Development:
For 10U teams, coaches focus on fundamentals while developing core skills while introducing more structured elements of the game. Players work on refining their basic techniques, such as tackling, blocking, and catching, with an emphasis on doing so safely and correctly. They begin learning offensive and defensive strategies, including formations and plays, as well as more specific positional responsibilities. At this stage, players also work to refine the concepts of teamwork, communication on the field, and situational awareness, such as down-and-distance strategies. Coaches encourage discipline, hard work, and a deeper understanding of the rules, while ensuring the game remains fun, structured, and developmentally appropriate.
Differences with Game:
Teams conduct kick-offs, punts, and follow Georgia High School Rules.
