Development:
For Mitey Mite we shift toward more advanced skill development while maintaining an emphasis on fun and teamwork. At this age, cheerleaders begin to master more complex routines, including synchronized chants, basic tumbling, more intricate stunts, and formations. Coaches work on refining technique, coordination, and timing, helping the children gain better control over their movements. Safety continues to be a priority, with careful instruction on performing stunts properly. Alongside physical skills, Pop Warner emphasizes leadership, responsibility, and positive attitudes, encouraging cheerleaders to build confidence both as individuals and as part of a team, preparing them for future competitive opportunities within the program.
