Development:
At the Jr. Pee Wee level, Pop Warner Cheer focuses on building a strong foundation of cheerleading skills while introducing more advanced techniques. Participants learn essential motions, jumps, cheers, and dance combinations, while also beginning to develop basic stunting and tumbling skills under the close supervision of trained coaches. Practices emphasize proper technique, strength, flexibility, and timing, ensuring athletes build confidence and precision in every movement.
In addition to skill development, coaches foster teamwork, leadership, and discipline, teaching athletes the importance of working together safely and effectively—especially as stunts and routines grow more complex. Safety remains a top priority, with careful instruction and progression in all skills to prevent injury.
Jr. Pee Wee Cheerleaders support their football teams at games and have the opportunity to compete in cheer and dance competitions, showcasing their spirit, energy, and performance abilities. This stage provides an exciting balance of learning, performing, and competing, giving athletes the tools to grow not just as cheerleaders but as confident and dedicated individuals.
