Thank you for participating in South Durham Little League’s 2025 SlugFest! It is a fun day of softball/baseball and swinging for the fences! Our league goal is to raise $100,000 this year to FUND THE FIELDS!! All donations collected are used to provide new and/or improved facilities & equipment for our players, as well as scholarships for many of our over 600 players and families.
This hitting competition is our annual fundraiser and will be held at Southern Boundaries Park, Parkwood Ballfield and Herndon Park on Friday, April 25th and on Saturday April 26th. Each team (Rookie - Intermediate baseball and Rookie-Majors softball) is asked to set a goal of raising $2,000 from sponsors. Each player is asked to set a goal of raising $150 from sponsors (friends, family, neighbors, etc.). Players will earn points in the competition based on their hits.
T-ball players do not hit but T-ball teams are asked to set a fundraising goal of $600.
All players raising money for SlugFest (T-ball, Softball and Baseball) will win an SDLL pennant and will be entered in the annual SlugFest Raffle. There are a slew of SlugFest Raffle prizes to be won, including Duke Baseball and Softball camps or clinics, private baseball lessons, Durham Bulls, Duke, UNC and Little League World Series merchandise, SDLL Spirit Bags, Dick’s Sporting Goods gift certificates, and many more gift cards and merchandise from local restaurants or stores.
In addition, the top 15 SDLL fundraising players from Rookie-Majors baseball and softball collectively, as well as the top 3 tball fundraising players will be offered the opportunity to participate in the Durham Bulls Field of Dreams night on June 1st.
Thanks again and GO SDLL!!
