In 2016 Bayshore Sports and Recreation with the help of George Outcalt was able to partner with Union Beach Recreation to bring Bayshore Basketball to our area. Together with the Union Beach Board of Education, we are able to have such a great Basketball program running for 3+ years.

Currently as of 2019, Bryan Cummings is the Bayshore Basketball Commissioner. With his leadership and the help of Bayshore Sports and Recreation board members, we are proud to be running a great program.

Beginners
This division are for players who are in Prek-K grades.  This is a non competitive division, it is merely to teach and have fun.

Introductory
This division are for players who are in K-1st grades. This is a light competitive division.

Foundational
This division are for players who are in the 2nd-3rd grades. This is 70% teaching and 30% competitive division.  Players play on the smaller full court, they use an 8 foot hoops and basketballs are size 27.5. 

Advanced Foundational
This division are for players who are in 4th-5th grades. In this division, we have real referees. All referees are instructed to stop the game and teach players about fundamentals during the game when they make a mistake.  This is a 70% competitive and 30% teaching division. Players play full court on a regular size court, and all basketball rules apply.

Performance
This division are for players who are in 6-9th grades. In this division, we have real referees. All referees are instructed to stop the game and teach players about fundamentals during the game when they make a mistake. This is 95% competitive and 5% teaching division. Players play full court on a regular size court and all basketball rules apply.
