Rookie Girls Softball is for ages 6, 7 and 8.  Teams practice once a week and play two games per week.  Once on saturday and once during the week.  This division is for younger with less experience.   Rookie Girls Softball is a “coach-pitch” program. At this level, players begin to hit a pitched ball.  Coaches are on the field during games to encourage/instruct players.  Players are taught game basics.  There are no umpires, final scores, or standings for this division.

Minor Girls Softball is for 9 and 10 year old girls.  Teams practice once per week and are scheduled two games a week.  (One on Saturday and one during the week)This is the first division where softball players pitch from 35ft.  Umpires are used in this division.  Fundamental skills are stressed and game strategies are also taught.   After the regular season, the league will select players from this division to represent Bayshore Little League in the District 19 All Star tournament. (Please note: this is determined by numbers, coach and player interest)

Major Girls Softball is for 11 and 12 year old girls.  Teams practice once per week and are scheduled two games a week.  (One on Friday and one during the week)This is the division where softball players pitch from 40ft.  Umpires are used in this division.  Fundamental skills are stressed and game strategies are also taught. After the regular season, the league will select players from this division to represent Bayshore Little League in the District 19 All Star tournament. (Please note: this is determined by numbers, coach and player interest)
