Our humble baseball beginnings came from Keansburg Babe Ruth league. As members of that board, we were able to merge with a failing Bayshore Little League. When we merged, we became Bayshore Babe Ruth League, bbrl. Later on January 2015 we became Bayshore Sports and Recreation Commission as we aspired to do multiple sports.
On December 2016, the Bayshore Sports and Recreation Board decided to leave Babe Ruth and apply to become a Little League organization. We decided our Little League name will be Bayshore Little League, as the name Bayshore is a neutral name.
We are part of NJ Little League district 19. Our district is made up of Middletown, Sandy Hook, Lincroft, Two Rivers, Fair Haven, Tinton Falls, Eatontown, Shore Reginal, Long Branch, Colts Neck, Freehold and Manalapan. We can interleague with any of these leagues since they are in our district.
As of Spring 2019 season, the Bayshore Sports and Recreation Commission has had a successful 4+ years. The Commissioner was responsible for bringing in Fall Ball to Bayshore. Year round clinics for both baseball and softball divisions. Great relationships with Jersey Giants who host Bayshore's coach clinics and also do player clinics.
Our Trustee, George Outcalt was responsible for Bayshore Little League to get 2 new fields in Scholer Park. George was also responsible for Bayshore Sports and Recreation to host our basketball league in Union Beach. We can't wait for families to enjoy these fields when they are ready to be played, in the Spring 2021 season.
Every year, something new is always introduced. And the reason is, the Commissioner sends out surveys to our Bayshore community at the end of every season. We may not be able to change ALL of the suggestions, but we definitely listen to our community and adjust accordingly.
