Player division placements will be determined using a combination of league age, Spring 2025 end-of-season coach's feedback and Fall 2025 evaluation scores. Additional information can be found in our bylaws.
PLEASE NOTE:
Little League has not released the 2026 age charts and calculator as they usually have by this point in the year. It is SDLL standard procedure to use league ages for the upcoming calendar year to register for Fall Baseball and we will do so this year as well, but you will not be able to view a 2026 age chart on the Little League website. Please trust that our registration page will default to using the correct league age. If you would like, you may view the 2025 Age Chart here, but know that your player will be considered one year OLDER than what this chart shows.

Important Notes About Registration
League age 6 players interested in playing baseball this season will register for our Tee Ball Division. Some of these players will have the opportunity to play in our Baseball Lower Machine Pitch Division following the assessment during player evaluations. If you have a league age 6 player interested in playing softball, please register your child for the Softball Rookie Coach Pitch Division.
League age 11 and 12 players registering for the Fall 2024 baseball season are eligible to play in the Grapefruit or Intermediate Division - players will be placed into one of these two divisions based on age/skill following the assessment during player evaluations.
League ages for baseball and softball players in our fall season are determined by the 2026 Little League Baseball and Softball League Age Calculators.
SDLL Board of Directors will continue the partnership with Bull City Little League for our Seniors Baseball and Seniors Softball divisions. More information about how to register for these divisions will be forthcoming.
Scholarships are available for families who want to participate but may not be able to afford the registration fees at this time. To learn more about scholarships, please email [email protected].
Player Evaluations
Skill evaluations are mandatory for all baseball and softball players ages 6-16.
Evaluations are 5-6 stations covering athleticism, speed, infielding, outfielding, hitting and pitching (if applicable). Players will sign-up for a 20 minute window on evaluation day based upon their age. More information will be available regarding evaluations after registration is completed.

Save the Date: Baseball Player Evaluations will take place the weekend of August 2nd. Softball evaluation date is TBD.
