UPDATE 2021 LYBL ACTIVITIES

The LYBL would like to provide a quick update on our hopes for 2021.  We are sure most people have heard that the Governor cancelled his "Youth Sports on Pause" as of January 19th.  In addition, the CIAC decided to allow some high school winter sports to go ahead with many strict guidelines.  The LYBL is in communication with the Ledyard Board of Education and the Department of Parks and Recreation on our ability to use the Ledyard Public Schools for league activities.  Because our town is "red", the BOE must get approval from the State Health Director to allow our program to be run in the schools.  We are currently awaiting word back from the Parks and Recreation Director on this status.  We will inform all families by email, on the website, and on Facebook when we receive a final decision.

If we are able to hold activities or an actual season, we will need volunteer support.  We will be reaching out with specific positions that need to be filled, including a Uniform Coordinator, a Fundraising Chair, an Instructional Division (3rd-4th Grades) Commissioner, a Seniors Division (7th-9th Grades), and head/assistant coaches.
