Falls Little League Baseball

Falls Little League, has created leagues and divisions of play for boys and girls, from beginners to advanced players, as prescribed by Little League Inc.  Players are defined by their "League Age" and the Little League Age Chart, one for Baseball and one for Softball.  Review the Little League Age Calculator and Age Charts for more information - access here.

Coed Tee Ball

  • Little League Ages 4-5
  • Tee Ball is your child’s introduction to Falls Little League. No prior experience is expected or required. The Tee Ball program is co-ed and is focused on teaching basic skills such as fielding and batting in a casual environment.

Lower Division - A Baseball

  • Little League Ages 6-7
  • A Baseball is the first level of our instructional Lower Division Baseball program. This level is geared toward teaching sound baseball fundamentals. A Baseball is coach-pitch.

Lower Division - AA Baseball

  • Little League Ages 7-8
  • AA Baseball is the second level of our instructional Lower Division Baseball program. It is designed for players who have had at least one year of A Baseball experience. Players at the AA level will be playing RapidBaseball this year. RapidBaseball utilizes machine pitching and a quick play format to optimize offensive and defensive opportunities each game. Upper Division - AAA Baseball

  • Little League Ages 9-10*
  • AAA Baseball is the first level of our Upper Division Baseball program. Players will expand on the fundamentals learned in AA while increasing consistency with throwing, catching, and batting. This is the first year of 100% player-pitch.
  • All AAA players must attend the mandatory Skills Assessment
  • *To be eligible to be considered to be drafted onto a AAA team, League Age 8 players must request to play-up during registration and  attend the Skills Assessment.

Upper Division - Coast Baseball

  • Little League Ages 10-11*
  • Coast Baseball is the second level of our Upper Division Baseball program. Players should have past success at the AAA level and be ready to start hitting pitching of different speeds. At this level of play, there is greater emphasis on understanding and executing on defense.
  •  All Coast players must attend the mandatory Skills Assessment
  • *To be eligible to be considered to be drafted onto a Coast team, League Age 9 players must request to play-up during registration and  attend the Skills Assessment.

Upper Division - Majors Baseball

  • Little League Ages 11-12*
  • Majors Baseball is the third tier of our Upper Division Baseball program. Players will be challenged by facing a variety of pitches and defensive awareness will continue to develop.
  • All Majors players must attend the mandatory Skills Assessment
  • *To be eligible to be considered to be drafted onto a Majors team, League Age 10 players must request to play-up during registration and  attend the Skills Assessment.

Intermediate Baseball

  • Little League Age 13
  • Intermediate Baseball utilizes a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths.

 Junior Baseball

  • Little League Age 14
  • Junior Baseball utilizes a 60-foot pitching distance and 90-foot base paths.

Falls Little League Softball

Minor League - Lower Division A Softball

  • Softball Program for League Age Players 6-7 players.
  • Division A Softball is 100% coach-pitch, continuing the skill building that starts in the Tee Ball program.  Players will continue to develop individual hitting, throwing and catching mechanics in a safe and fun environment. In addition, they’ll start to learn more rules of the game, with more focus on base running and team fielding techniques.

Minor League - Lower Division AA Softball

  • Softball Program for League Age 7*-8 players.  *League Age 7 players must request play-up and be approved
  • Division AA Softball is the next step in our softball players development, coach-pitch is still utilized but additional game fundamentals are introduced and taught

Minor League - Upper Division AAA Softball
  • Softball Program for League Age 8*-9-10 players were all eligible players participate in a Skills Assessment prior to the season.
  • *League Age 8 players must request play-up in registration process and are required to attend the Upper Division Skills Assessment for evaluation
  • Division AAA Softball is the first year of kid-pitch and normal defensive layout with 9 players.  The entire roster bats, but added growth skills are continued to be formed as it relates to pitching and hitting mechanics.  
  • Rosters are formed via a draft process.

Minor League - Upper Division Coast Softball
Softball Program for League Age 9-10-11 players were all eligible players participate in a Skills Assessment prior to the season.

  • Coast Softball is an introduction to competitive baseball but still maintains an instructional focus.
  • Rosters are formed via a Draft Process.

Little League – Upper Division Majors Softball
Softball Program for League Age 11-12 players were all eligible players participate in a Skills Assessment prior to the season.
Majors Softball is the first fully competitive program in Little League.

Little League – Juniors Softball
Softball Program for League Age 12-14 players 
Juniors Softball is fully competitive program and designed to serve as a bridge gap for players following Majors Softball and High School Softball
League Age 12 Majors player will have the option for dual roster - meaning they could play in both Majors and Juniors
High school players who are League Age 14 are eligible to play
